Mystery, crime, sex, abs and lot of booties. Cheryl is not slimthicc and bottom heavy yet. Cheesy teen dramas stereotypes getting deconstructed and every generation watching this show because it was geniunely good. The murderer gets found. More mysteries. Then season 2 appeared...

I haven’t seen Riverdale, but from everything I’ve read and heard about it, it became a very confusing and disappointing teen soap opera driven by cheaply shocking twists in the plot versus character. It sounds like why I lost interest in the writing on Once Upon a Time, Charmed, and Shameless (U.S) after S3-S4. The writers got too concerned with creating twists and drama for the sake of drama, even if it meant destroying their characters, relationships, and narrative credibility, consistency, complexity, development, organic growth, integrity, and relatability for the sake of creating it.

I'm also not over the fact that Cheryl just went and OUTED toni to toni's homophobic grandma after toni begged her not to (and cheryl had promised she wouldn't). Like, yeah, i know it turned out that the real reason toni didn't want her grandma to know was because her grandma hated Blossoms, but Cheryl didn't know that! Toni's grandma was her legal guardian, she lived with her, and if she really was that homophobic then cheryl's actions could have caused serious damage to Toni's life. And then Cheryl was just like "sowwyyyy, do u forgive me? uwu" and toni is immediately like "of course!" as if that wasn't such a fucked up and invasive thing to do - as well as a major breach of trust. They're the most toxic relationship on the whole show.

When i say this i wanna see if y'all been thinking the same... Who else thinks that instead of this time jump, and although the comics is in a high school, that riverdale should have been set in a college or university. Reason being: 1. What they do in high school is so unrealistic most of the times in terms of the parents approving the relationships to the point where the parents allow the children to sleep with their boyfriends in the house and they basically do whatever they want whenever they want. That is not how high school goes even though the jump is because of a few of the cast situations as tony...although they could have just allow her to pregnant in high school, 'mon they are experts they could have made a script from that. 2. No one in high school goes through that much crazy, I went through a lot and still going, we all do and did so the over exaggeration on the crime fighting plot is nonsensical. I know that Riverdale is to be based off this comic book and they are trying to fit the setting, the plot, the characters and the themes but it's just not gonna work after a period of time. I am just saying this from my point of view but I would like to know what u guys out there watching or probably reading thinks. Let me know 🤷‍♂️👇

Surprisingly Riverdale Season 5 is somewhat good I’ll give it 6-7/10 tbh it’s not as good as Seasons 1 and 2 Season 2 wasn’t AMAZING but was good tbh S1 was outstanding tho.
